In this episode of Beyond the Clinic, Adam Redpath interviews Natasha Jocelyn about equine endocrine diseases, focusing on PPID (Pituitary Pars Intermedia Dysfunction) and EMS (Equine Metabolic Syndrome). Natasha Jocelyn:
Natasha qualified from Cambridge University in 2011 the spent four years in equine ambulatory practice in Gloucestershire with a large emphasis on polo and performance horse work. In 2015 she undertook a residency in Equine Internal Medicine at the RVC during which she published research into endocrine disease diagnosis and lower airway analysis. She joined Sussex Equine Hospital in 2018, founding the internal medicine department. In 2019 she passed the European College of Equine Internal Medicine board exams. She enjoys all aspects of internal medicine but is particularly interested in critical care, neurology, gastroenterology and respiratory disease.
Adam Redpath:
Adam is a EBVS and RCVS Specialist in Equine Internal Medicine having successfully becoming an ECEIM Diplomat in 2021. He has spent the majority of his early career in clinical academic practice, having several roles at the University of Nottingham. More recently Adam has ventured into private practice having worked at both Donnington Grove and Oakham Veterinary Hospital as an equine internal medicine clinician over the past 18 months. Adam currently splits his time between his clinical role at Oakham Veterinary Hospital and as Equine Development Lead within the L&D team at IVC Evidensia.
